DMA'S release video for single 'Dawning'
DMA'S have shared a music video for their new single, 'Dawning.'
The Sydney based trio have received widespread acclaim since their debut album ‘Hills End’ was released in 2016. Past singles ‘Lay Down’, ‘In the Moment’ and ‘Delete’ caught the attention of the British media, including a Radio One A-List addition alongside support from Radio X and 6 Music. Their cover of the classic noughties Cher hit ‘Believe’ also went viral last year, certifying their dominance in the UK alternative charts.
Vocalist Tommy O’Dell said of the new single: “We’re giving people the opportunity to decide what the song means to them… we wanted the song to convey a dark message but at the same time create a piece of music that sounds uplifting & hopeful.”
The new music video captures a day in the life of the band, highlighting that to be in a rock group, it isn’t just about sex, drugs and rock & roll. Throughout the video the audience follows DMA'S to the park, recording studio and even briefly watching them water their plants. The simplicity behind the band’s relaxed music video creates an intimate experience for fans to enjoy.
DMA'S will hit the road next month for a handful of dates in New Zealand and their native Australia, prior to heading out on a winter UK tour supporting The Kooks.
'Dawning' is available now via Infectious Music.
