Treeboy & Arc announce debut EP 'Not Yet'
Leeds-based post-punk four-piece Treeboy & Arc have announced their eagerly anticipated debut EP, ‘Not Yet’.
Formed at Leeds College of Music through boredom, the up and coming quartet started their musical careers playing covers at house parties before eventually writing their own material. Now renowned for their frantic, high-energy performances, the Yorkshire punk rockers have opened for notable acts such as The Wytches, Parquet Courts and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever.
‘Not Yet’ captures the energy of their live performances and draws on aggression and krautrock-infused-post punk. Featuring powerful and exhilarating songs, each one a barbed post-punk entity that thrashed with obscene energy, the band’s latest single 'Merge' is a visceral bass-heavy ripper which accelerates and excites throughout.
The band explain: "The song is mostly about the decline of health from drinking too much and generally burning the candle at both ends. We wrote it while we should of been studying for exams. At the end we ran out of ideas so just sped up and hoped for the best!”
‘Not Yet’ is released on 1st December.
