The Wytches announce new tracks 'Double World' & 'Double World (Sludge Version)'

With the spook season upon us, Brighton based garage-pysch quartet, The Wytches have released new material in the shape of the hazy and eerie odyssey,  ‘Double World’.

It’s the first new material to have emerged from the band this year and what’s immediately apparent is that ‘Double World’ finds the band moving into altogether more spacious yet weird and wonderful territories.

Sharing two versions of new tune ‘Double World’, which has been released on Heavenly Recordings. Double world consists of the oddly charismatic Wytches charm, whereas the ‘Sludge Version’ does what it says on the tin, taking the track and ramping up the heaviness.

About the track, lead singer Kristian explains, “We recorded the track a few months ago but felt it was quite different to the direction we're going in with the writing for the next album so we thought it would make for an interesting Halloween special.”

The release coincides with their sold-out Halloween party at Hackney’s MOTH Club which kick starts their UK Tour. Both tracks were recorded in Kristian’s Garage, and ‘Double World’ comes with a suitably Lo-Fi and creepy video directed by The Wytches own Mark Breed. DIY excellence.

The Wytches then the hit the UK for a tour in November and December. They play:
