Temples announce 'Toe Rag Session' EP
Having released their second album Volcano in March on Heavenly Recordings, Temples have capped off their year with the release of Toe Rag Session, an EP featuring new recordings of three tracks from the aforementioned album and an accompanying short-film, Sound Education, by acclaimed director Paul Kelly (www.heavenlyfilms.net).
The EP, featuring Roman Godlike Man, Strange Or Be Forgotten and How Would You Like To Go? was recorded with producer Liam Watson at Toe Rag Studios, his analogue studio in Hackney, east London. It is available on iTunes now, as well as all streaming services.
Paul Kelly's resulting short film, Sound Education, pays homage to schools and Open University films of old.
The band’s recent second album, Volcano, was recorded at the band’s home studio in Kettering and spawned the singles Certainty, Oh The Saviour and Strange Or Be Forgotten.
Before that, the band released their debut album, Sun Structures, in February 2014. Bagging the prestigious top spot in Rough Trade Shops Albums of the Year list, Sun Structures also charted in eighteen countries, including a top-10 spot in the UK, and became the year’s biggest-selling vinyl album in independent British record shops.
