Moon Diagrams share debut album ‘Lifetime of Love’

Moon Diagrams announce debut album Lifetime of Love to be released at the end of June. The solo recording project of Deerhunter co-founder and drummer Moses John Archuleta will be available on limited-edition double vinyl and CD.

Recorded and pieced together over a ten-year period, the album finds Archuleta processing various stages of love, loss and regeneration via forlorn outsider pop, minimal techno and warm, weightless experimentation.

Archuleta follows sudden fits of inspiration, writing the first songs for the project in 2007 between Deerhunter’s ‘Cryptograms’ and ‘Microcastle’ albums. As the title suggests, the quietly epic album goes through a series of emotional tangents combining Archuleta’s ambient techno digressions into Deerhunter-esque indie-rock.

Moon Diagrams have now released the closing track The End of Heartache which is influenced by the end of Archuleta’s marriage. The sound is quite upbeat - complete with scratchy guitar rhythms and bittersweet lyrics.
