Mammút announce release of new album 'Kinder Versions'

Icelandic rockers, Mammút have announced the release of their fourth studio album, Kinder Versions.

Mammút gave a taster of what was to come for the album with their Nylon featured music video Breathe Into Me. Despite being filmed on their phones and in the bassist's backyard, the video resembles the explosion of a volcano - a homage to the awe-inspiring beauty of Iceland's geography.

Kinder Versions will take you on a journey - Mammút's  shapeshifting and unpredictable music juxtaposed with front-woman, Katrina Mogensen's soft and powerful delivery. Mogensen has an airy and whimsical voice which brings a unique psychedelic twist to the band's opaque melodies.

Music is very much a family tradition in Mogensen's family. Katrina's mother was the bassist in Icelandic punk pioneers, Kukl - playing alongside Bjork. It is clear that the punk impulse was passed through the generations and Mammút carry the torch with distinction.
