Celebrating sub cultures entwined with a love for cinematic creativity, this year's festival will include a selection of documentary premiers from across the world, filmmaker and artist interviews, and live performances.

Six of the films this year have been shortlisted for the Best Music Documentary 2017 prize, which is judged by NME's Leonie Cooper, Primal Scream's Simone Marie, filmmakers Paul Sng and Campbell X, alongside NTS Radio's Tabitha Thorlu-Bangura.

A vast range of exciting documentaries will feature artists and subjects including Joe Cocker, Ella Fitzgerald, Syl Johnson, Link Ray, Bill Frisell, John Coltrane, Jawbreaker, GG Allin & The Murder Junkies, Tangerine Dream, Deer Tick, Lee Ranaldo, Årabrot, Death, Residente, the Ealing Club, Doom Metal, and the bass guitar.

The festival will kick off with the world premier of 'A Winding Road: A Ramble with Richard Thompson' at Picturehouse Central. Viewers will also be able to catch a Q&A with Thompson and director Edmond Deraedt.

Tickets for Doc'n Roll Film Festival will be available from the 3rd October via the festival's official website.
