Still Corners share "The Message"
With the release of their new album "Slow Air" due for release this Friday, August 17th through their own label Wrecking Light, Still Corners have once again treated us with another sultry number, this time titled "The Message". Commenting on the track, the band elaborate: "The Message is a song about leaving someone and telling them on voicemail. Atmospheric clean-tone guitar mixes with Tessa Murray's voice as it floats over a lonesome highway recording reminiscent of Sun records with shades of 50's Americana."
Evoking the atmospheric sounds Still Corners are known for, Slow Air continues the band's journey with an album full of tension and brooding all the while wrapped in a reverb laden dream. Written in the hill country in Austin, Texas, Slow Air nods towards a classic sound with emphasis on the guitar, both acoustic and electric, combined with the alluring and ghostly voice of Tessa Murray. The songs are rounded out with live drums and minimal synthesisers with all the mistakes kept in for maximum human feel and emotion.
"Slow Air" will be released this Friday + you can catch Still Corners on their European tour this November/December...
