Gus Dapperton Announces Debut Album 'Where Polly People Go To Read' and Shares New Track 'My Favorite Fish'

Gus Dapperton announces his debut album, “Where Polly People Go to Read”  and shares new single “My Favorite Fish”.

The NY singer,  producer and multi-instrumentalist unveils a second taster of his much anticipated debut record (following “World Class Cinema”)  and “My Favorite Fish” sees Dapperton slowing down the tempo with a love song wrapped in synths and twinkling acoustics,  a serenade delivered in his brilliantly offbeat style.  “Where Polly People Go To Read” builds on the charm of Dapperton’s debut EPs , maintaining the timeless quality of 60’s soft-rock,  70’s psych and 80’s new wave whilst broadening his sonic palette,  as showcased on the R&B hued “My Favorite Fish”

In a short period of time, Dapperton has gone from bedroom dreamer to headlining artist, and with due cause. He quietly ascended to the forefront of the pop conversation on the heels of viral smashes such as “Prune, You Talk Funny” and “I’m Just Snacking,” averaging around 1 million monthly Spotify listeners and accompanied by videos which burst with style, charisma and a cinematic eye.  He has also sold out shows worldwide and earned acclaim from the likes of i-D, Vogue, The Fader and Pigeons & Planes.

Dapperton embarks on a mammoth 43 date European tour beginning next month which will provide a live taster of the album,  including London’s Oval Space on the 28th. Buy tickets here.

Keep an eye out for the self-directed video for “My Favorite Fish” in the meantime…
